The ARCHAIA Jih o.p.s. is a Czech non-governmental non-profit entity with a legal status of public benefit organization. The mission of the company is to protect, rescue, document and research archaeological, construction and other historical monuments, as well as to perform enlightenment, educational and popularization activities relating to archeology and heritage protection.

The core activities of the organization involve preventive and rescue archaeological research conducted mainly in the South Bohemian region and adjoining regions. One of the tasks the organization set for itself has been the popularization of archeology. Currently, the efforts associated with archaeological heritage protection have been mostly perceived by investors as a source of problems to execution of their construction plans. In this respect the organization seeks to provide not only services of protective nature but also consulting services in archeology and preservation of historical monument. The results of individual projects (research, scientific publications or popularization programs) will be made available also on this website.
